Uses
Tri-n-butyl phosphate (abbreviated as TBP) is used as a stationary liquid for gas chromatography, a solvent for nitrocellulose and ethyl cellulose, a plasticizer, an agent for separating rare earth metals and an intermediate for organic synthesis; for acrylates, methacrylic acid Ester, acrylic acid, acrylonitrile, styrene, butadiene have better inhibition effect, and their inhibition performance is better than phenol; TBP can be used as an extractant for metal complexes, nitrocellulose, cellulose acetate , plasticizers for chlorinated rubber and polyvinyl chloride, solvents for coatings, inks and adhesives. In addition, TBP is used as nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate solvent, defoamer, heat exchange medium, plasticizer, and extraction agent. Extraction of cobalt, iridium, manganese, molybdenum, palladium, rhodium, nickel, uranium and tungsten, and colorimetric determination of molybdenum. Organic Synthesis.
